Sports Scholarships for Disadvantaged Kids
• Issued grants totaling $200,000 over the last 8 years.
• Put 2660 kids in camps or activity of their choice.
• Average cost of a camp is $140-$200.
• $50,000 will be distributed in the spring that will give 277 kids a scholarship.
• We finance all sports and activities from cheerleaders camp, horse back riding to football and basketball camps.
All Funds raised from private donations, annual fundraiser at a winery, and grants from various foundations.
The mission of Camps for Kids is to provide scholarship opportunities for local students who would like to attend established athletic academies, sports camps and any activity of choice including dance schools, art academies and summer schools.
Need based scholarships are provided to qualified students recommended by their teachers/coaches/counselors who would otherwise not be able to attend a camp or academy. Camps for Kids provides financial support to new and existing programs who need assistance in order to compete.
